All contraception and medication refills need to be obtained either during a Women’s Health appointment or ordered via web or by phone (215.746.1020). If you need a new prescription you will need to first make an appointment.
Ordering by Web: Go to shs.upenn.edu (SHS’s secure server), select “Messages”, and send a new message using “Contact Women’s Health with Pill Refill Request”.
Ordering by Phone: When ordering refills by phone (215.746.1020), you will need to state your name, Penn ID number, phone number, name of your contraceptive product and how many you would like to purchase. Please allow one full business day for your order to be filled.
Picking up refills: Please check the Homepage for Student Health hours. Your order can be picked up at the cashier’s office on the next business day during regular business hours. The office is closed on Sundays. Please note that any prescriptions picked up when the cashier is closed will be automatically billed to your bursar account.
Traveling? Please be sure to plan your contraceptive needs a few weeks prior to your departure. If you are leaving the country for the summer or for a semester abroad, you can request multiple packs of your pills at the time of your visit in WH or to be called into the pharmacy by calling the pill refill line. The number is 215.746.1020. You should request a “vacation override” prescription. Don’t wait until the last minute!
Graduating? REMEMBER — Prior to graduation, December 1st, April 1st or July 1st (which ever applies to you), you will be required to pay cash only for birth control pills and other medications dispensed.
