HIV testing at Student Health

Student Health offers free, confidential rapid fingerstick testing with our Health Counselor Erin Taylor. The entire visit, including getting results, takes about 30 minutes. It is accurate 30 days after exposure for over 95-99% of infections. Confirmation testing can be completed in three months if they had significant risk and/or for peace of mine. You can schedule this appointment on-line by clicking here or by calling 215.746.3535.

Students can also choose to have HIV testing done at a Primary Care, Men’s Health or Women’s Health appointment. The non-rapid blood test is a blood draw sent to Quest laboratories and is neither anonymous nor free.  Results are available in about one week. It is accurate within two weeks of an exposure.
