Yong-Tong is a board-certified psychiatrist and a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, providing support to students who seek care through Student Health and Counseling. Yong-Tong earned her MD and her master’s degree in public mental health from Peking University Med Center, and has done post-doc research on cognitive neuroscience at Temple and Penn. She completed her psychiatric residency training at UPHS, and has been working with a wide range of persons at Penn since 2001.

Yong-Tong enjoys working with the bright young minds of Penn, particularly in cross-cultural/multi-cultural settings. She is passionate about suicide prevention on college campuses and community outreach. Outside of work, Yong-Tong likes reading, visual arts/crafts, music, travel, and spending time with family and friends.
